CareersTV Team
Rod Tweddle
Supervising Producer

Rod has been with CareersTV since it’s first incarnation in 1995. He worked his way into the Supervising Producer role from the ground up as researcher, segment host, reporter, associate producer – whatever it took. For seven years he worked hard 8 hours per day so that he could eventually get promoted and work 11 hours per day.
In his spare time Rod is consumed by his amazing family and is currently re-kindling his youth by writing songs for his likely-never-to-be-released record, “Mid-life Crisis Damage Control”.

First Job:
My first real, paid position was that of a Hawker (aka Popcorn Guy) trolling the stands of the University of Alberta Golden Bear hockey games. I learned quickly, due to the commission sales, that the harder and smarter I worked the better I would be rewarded.

Foot in the Door:
I got my start in Television as a guest Career Consultant on L&J News in 1995. It went well and the producer liked me so I was offered a regular spot on the show. From that very first show I caught ‘the bug’ and have loved it ever since.

What I Like About CareersTV:
You won’t believe me when I say this, but in every episode we produce there’s always a moment that gives me goose bumps. Really! I get blown away because the people we cover are amazing examples of what it takes to succeed in life. I’m fortunate to have a job that inspires me as much as I hope it does our viewers.
